Dartmouth Castle to Little Dartmouth
Bit of effort required in places! You can do either 2 mile walk or 4? mile walk coastal path walk with fantastic sea views, as ever there are benches along the way. No pub, so take a picnic or Bar BQ for the beach.
4? mile walk - From the Castle carry on up the hill to Coastguard Cottages through the kissing gate and along the path to Little Dartmouth Farm, follow coastal path along the coast at Dancing Beggars, great benches for picnics and expansive sea views. Then wander slowly towards little pond and follow path right back towards Dartmouth, via a big hill towards the sea or turn right you will come to a beach perfect for Bar BQ. Following the path to the left you will come to a little wooden bridge, (sometimes you think you can see seals here but they might be lobster or crab pot buoys so don?t be fooled!). This is a great spot to sit and stare before walking around coast into little woods and then back to the Castle.
2 mile walk - After the kissing gate at Coastguard Cottages go down the big hill and over the stile and pick up the loop as above and after the woods as you start walking back down the hill to the Castle, if you turn right into a path by the wall, you can zigzag back down to Sugary Cove which is a hidden little beach, good for a picnic and a snooze!
